About C9 socket wire
Bulk socket wire is used to build runs cut exactly to a roofline's length. A 1,000 ft. spool at 12 in. spacing carries 1,000 sockets; at 15 in. about 800; at 24 in. about 500. Cut between sockets, finish the ends with slide-on male and female plugs, and fill each socket with a C9 bulb.
Magnetic spools and replacement sockets
Magnetic socket spools are for metal surfaces such as steel roofs, awnings and commercial fascia. Replacement sockets repair a damaged socket without re-running the whole line.
